Jean Hamilton is an economist with 30 years experience in economic and business development.  She has particular expertise in business planning, finance and funding, feasibility, appraisal and evaluation.  Sectoral expertise includes life science, tourism charities and third sector and joint public/private projects.  She works on her own and in partnership with others to deliver a breadth of services required.

From her c10 years while working for Scottish Enterprise she has developed strong strategic and policy skills as well as hands on experience of designing and establishing complex projects – from the initial problem, the design of the intervention, securing partner and stakeholder support, funding and implementation.

Clients include SE, HIE, Scottish Government, NHS, universities and research institutions, community trusts, social enterprises and local authorities.

Her diverse skills mean that she can contribute to and deliver at any stage of a project and most importantly deliver a project from start to finish.

From the late 1990s she has been a private angel investor and is actively engaged in private sector companies as a Director and investor.
